Avid viewers of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” will soon see one of the drama’s cast members in a new production. Kang Ki Young, who portrays the role of Young Joon’s (Park Seo Joon) friend in the said drama, is set to appear in the upcoming spy romantic comedy series “Terius Behind Me.”
Kang Ki Young will soon showcase his acting skills alongside talented South Korean stars such as So Ji Sub, Jung In Sun, So Ho Jun and more. The actor will portray the role of Kim Sang Ryul who is the only male member of an all-women group called the Kingcastle Intelligence Service (KIS). Given the said character’s stay-at-home father status, he was granted entry into the KIS team’s all-girl sanctum.
At this time, it is still unclear if Kang Ki Young’s role in “Terius Behind Me” will be as quirky as his role in “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.” The actor has been wowing viewers with his funny expressions and comedic timing in the said tvN drama. Portraying the businessman Yoo Sik who is a close friend of Park Seo Joon’s character Young Joon, Kang Ki Young’s character inadvertently became a dating consultant to his narcissistic pal.
Other stars who will also appear in the upcoming So Ji Sub drama includes Kim Yeo Jin who will play the role of the KIS group’s leader Shim Eun Ha. “Strange Family” actress Jung Si Ah will portray KIS member Bong Sun Mi, while Seo Yi Sook, Uhm Hyo Sup and Sungjoo will play the roles of National Intelligence Service workers.
“Terius Behind Me” tells the story of next-door neighbors Go Ae Rin and Kim Bon. Portrayed by Jung In Sun and So Ji Sub, respectively, the former is a single mother while the latter is a National Intelligence Service agent who became involved in a mysterious incident together. However, the only person who knows the secret behind the said incident is Son Ho Jun’s villainous character Jin Yong Tae.
“Terius Behind Me” is expected to premiere in September on MBC. Meanwhile, Kang Ki Young’s current drama “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” airs every Wednesday and Thursday on tvN.
