Do you miss seeing BTOB band member Yook Sungjae displaying his acting chops on the small screens? If yes, then you’re in for a treat! The “Goblin” actor recently shared his plans for his next acting project.
Yook Sungjae may have taken a quick break from acting but fans of the Kpop idol-turned-actor may soon see their favorite star in a new drama production. The BTOB singer shared that he has been busy reviewing scripts and casting offers sent his way. The South Korean star made the revelation during his guest appearance in the JTBC show “Idol Room.”
The Kpop idol was last seen in the hit tvN series “Goblin.” Acting alongside some of the South Korean entertainment industry’s famous stars, Yook Sungjae even developed a good onscreen rapport with some of the drama’s main stars namely Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook.
It appears that the BTOB band member’s participation in the said tvN series further increased his popularity. The Kpop idol revealed that he already received more than 20 casting offers since appearing in “Goblin.”
However, the young star commented that he has yet to pin down his next acting project. Taking extra care in choosing his follow-up drama after the global hit “Goblin,” the BTOB singer shared that he is still in the process of preparing himself for his next role. Yook Sungjae added that he would like to gain a better understanding of the role that would best fit him before saying yes to a project.
Despite being on a drama hiatus, the Kpop idol can still be seen on the small screens in the variety show “Master in the House” (also known as “All the Butlers”). Apart from Yook Sungjae, other cast members of the said reality-variety series include Lee Seung Gi, “About Time” star Lee Sang Yoon and comedian Yang Se Hyung.
